The finance committee members are Brigid Rodgers (Chair), Maurice Heneghan, Stuart MacFarlane, Steve Leatherbarrow and Terry Atkinson.
The committee meets regularly to consider the annual accounts, discuss capital projects and to receive progress and costing updates on ongoing maintenance and improvements.
Other issues connected with cash counting rotas, Diocesan or HMRC accounting or recording requirements, Gift Aid on donations and any other financial matters are discussed as required.
For UK taxpayers the best way to support the Parish is by way of the Gift Aid scheme. It’s a really simple form to complete and contributions can be made ideally by monthly standing order or alternatively by using weekly envelopes which go in the offertory collection.
Gift Aid increases the value of donations made to charities and in 2012/13 the parish was able to claim back £13,000 in Gift Aid from HMRC.
It’s also usually possible to Gift Aid contributions to second collections and separate envelopes are provided where appropriate.
If you are not a UK taxpayer, we are very grateful for your support and donations to the parish can be made by standing order, or by cash or cheque in a weekly envelope or cash in the offertory collection. Click here for more Gift Aid information
