A number of the CTCH Churches work closely to promote Christian Aid and both fundraise and campaign on its behalf.  A small committee meets regularly during the year to co-ordinate events and in particular for Christian Aid Week which is held in May each year.

 

 

 

The group organize bucket collections at Handforth Dean and on the streets of Cheadle Hulme and Cheadle, there are sponsored walk and swim activities whilst Christian Aid Week features the annual house to house collection during which thousands of houses in Cheadle Hulme are visited.  Parishioners of St Ann’s have helped with each of these initiatives. In 2019, in excess of £14,000 was raised. 

 

Currently, a project in Kenya for the health and education needs of orphans is supported and this also attracts a significant amount of matching funding from outside agencies.  Additionally, the Churches added their weight to a campaign on climate change and a petition with hundreds of
