Preparation for First Sacraments For Children at Catholic Schools St. Ann’s Sacramental Programme is a partnership between parents/carers, parish and school.
Preparation for the Sacraments in an integral part of the religious programme taught in Cheadle Catholic Infant and Junior Schools with a strong emphasis on support from parents/carers at home and support from the Parish.
Children will make the Sacrament of Reconciliation in year 2 and the Sacrament of Holy Communion in year 3.
Prior to these events there will be meetings for parents both at School and at Church. The children will also have booklets to work through and complete at home supported by parents.
For Children at non-Catholic Schools, Children in year 3 or above will receive a 9 week programme and, if ready to do so, will make their First Forgiveness during Lent.
They will then follow a further 9 week programme and, if ready to do so, will make their First Holy Communion during the Easter period.
There will also be parents meetings for both sacraments. The programme will be supported by Carol Duffy & Hilary Ruane.
